Raphaël Neal
Raphaël Neal is a French photographer, born in Orsay and currently living in Paris. His work has been exhibited and published in France and internationally since 2005.
His photographs are inspired by cinema, theatrics, literature, dreams, and personal life experiences. The on-going series “Bates Productions” presents film stills and posters of real actors starring in imaginary movies. He also creates self-portraits in which he explores themes like solitude and seduction, boredom and imposture, intimacy and desire. His latest series, entitled, “De qui aurais-je crainte?” was shot outdoors in places without any trace of civilization. Thematically, Neal attempts to “pay tribute to the virtues of faith and independence.”
