Christopher Bucklow’s Tetrarch series exemplifies his inventive approach to photography, blending light, form, and self-reflection. Using his signature pinhole technique, Bucklow crafts intricate, cameraless photograms. Aluminum foil, pierced with thousands of apertures, acts as the medium through which sunlight transforms photosensitive paper. The resulting images are ethereal, with luminous silhouettes composed of countless points of light. In Tetrarch, Bucklow examines identity through a collective lens, portraying multifaceted figures that symbolically reflect his own persona. This series challenges traditional notions of photography, offering radiant, timeless visions that connect individual existence to universal themes.
